Description
- SETA BioMedicals 2D DIGE Kit contains 25 nmol DIGE dye 1 and 25 nmol DIGE dye 2.
- DIGE dye 1: Reactive dye 550/570 mono-NHS
- DIGE dye 2: Reactive dye 650/670 mono-NHS
The dyes are excitable with 532-nm (DIGE dye 1) and 635-nm (DIGE dye 2) LEDs and lasers. The net charge and molecular mass of these dyes were adjusted so that they would not affect the mobility of the labeled proteins.
Each kit contains exactly equal amounts of dye NHS-esters. This ensures equal labeling levels for different samples. The gels can be read out on either Typhoon, PharosFX, or Decodon imagers using Cy3/Cy5 filter sets.
