Recently the group of Prof. Weissleder at the Harvard Medical School has reported on two-photon beta cell specific in vivo imaging probes based on GLP1R targeting peptides labelled with a SETA 2-photon squaraine rotaxane: "Among the three compounds of potential interest, we found quite unexpectedly that a squaraine-rotaxane conjugate (2PEx-647, SeTau-647, K9-4148) had near ideal in vivo imaging characteristics".
